Impaired Driver Crosses Centerline and Collides with Family
Webb County, Texas: On the evening of November 2, 2016, a family of four was traveling on Bob Bullock Loop in Laredo, Texas, when a driver coming from the opposite direction suddenly crossed the centerline and violently crashed into the family’s vehicle, a Dodge Journey. As a result of the accident, the family suffered severe, catastrophic injuries.
Wigington Rumley Dunn & Blair, LLP filed suit on behalf of the family against the driver that hit them contending that he was negligent and grossly negligent in the operation of his vehicle. Wigington Rumley Dunn & Blair, LLP also filed suit against the company that designed and manufactured the family’s Dodge Journey: FCA USA, LLC (formerly known as Chrysler Group, LLC). They contended the family’s vehicle was defectively designed with an unreasonably dangerous occupant restraint system, among other things. This case settled for a confidential sum.
