Bryan Puente

Background

Bryan Puente is a trial attorney who specializes in personal injury claims arising out of the transportation, premises liability, and medical malpractice contexts. Prior to joining Wigington Rumley Evans & Blair, LLP, in 2026, Mr. Puente worked as a defense attorney for multiple defense firms, including one of the largest defense firms in the country. Mr. Puente has defended over a thousand personal injury claims throughout the state of Texas, including over a hundred claims that involved traumatic brain injuries, burns, multiple surgeries, paralysis, and/or fatalities. During his time as a defense attorney, Mr. Puente represented individuals and several of the largest corporations in the world at both the state and federal level.

With a perfect civil litigation trial record, Mr. Puente strives to resolve his clients’ claims in an efficient manner and takes pride in “thinking outside the box” to maximize recovery for his clients. Mr. Puente’s approach to litigation acknowledges that while the law is the foremost factor to consider when litigating a claim, personal injury claims often require an attorney to take non-legal factors into consideration (e.g., client preferences, cost-benefit analysis, and defendant-company litigation tendencies).

Mr. Puente was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, obtained his undergraduate degree from Arizona State University in 2011, and obtained his law degree from South Texas College of Law in 2014. After a short stint practicing criminal and family law following law school, Mr. Puente realized his skill set and legal philosophies were better suited for personal injury claims.

Mr. Puente spends his free time with his wife, son, extended family, and friends. He volunteers as a coach for his son’s little league team and enjoys playing basketball, video games, and reading. As a San Antonian, he is naturally a Spurs fan and enjoys watching football.
